Top marks to Dave and his really friendly team for making the hiring process – a first time for us with a motorhome – such an easy and enjoyable event. Between the handover video, the walkround, and a more detailed guide to consult in the van we felt well briefed and prepared (not to mention the further back up of a whatapp number if needed) . This allowed us to get more out of our week away. So hats off to Leicester Campers for having service nailed.
As for the van (the F74), any sense of trepidation driving a much bigger vehicle disappeared quickly – ok you do need to plan ahead a bit more whether it's driving or parking than you can get away with in a car, but it soon becomes second nature and you can relax and enjoy. We did a couple of nights on a "proper" campsite with hook up and lots of water available, and four nights "off grid" at FolkEast. Being careful with the resources, we still had plenty of battery and water at the end and I reckon we could have got another couple of nights off grid if needed.
Overall, we had an excellent time and much of this was helped by knowing we had a top quality reliable motorhome with all the support there if we needed it.
