About Leicester Campers

Leicester Campers, is based in Desford, Leicester and we have been hiring out motorhomes since 2010. It is a family run business, with owner David Tunnicliffe hoping his passion for motorhomes and adventure will infect other people, “running this business and selling the idea of motorhome holidays to people is a real pleasure as it is genuinely my favourite type of holiday. I like everything to do with motorhomes, the trip planning, the loading up, and the general feeling of being free to do as I please when driving around in one. My family and I have toured most of Western Europe in motorhomes. Prior to getting married to Helen, we spent a lot of time backpacking around the world. We bought our first motorhome after our daughter was born to enable us to continue to travel freely, we saw the motor home as an extension to our backpacks.”

Leicester Campers started in 2010 with 1 motorhome. In the 2022 summer season we ran 19 motorhomes. Typicaly our motorhomes are less than 2 years old, we aim to keep our vehicles for less than 1 year before replacing them with brand new vehicles. We are always happy to advise about the best motorhome for your trip and the places to go, you are welcome to come and view the vans prior to booking.
